She completed her MBBS at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and her MS in Ophthalmology at Madras Medical College under Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. She further underwent advanced subspecialty training in glaucoma at Aravind Eye Care System and worked as a consultant at aravind eye hospital . Her professional qualifications include FICO, FAICO (Glaucoma), FAEH, and MRCSEd (UK). Her clinical interests encompass comprehensive glaucoma evaluation, medical and surgical management, trabeculectomy, aqueous drainage implants, and advanced intraocular pressure assessment techniques.

She has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in reputed ophthalmology journals and has presented award-winning research at national and international conferences.
